Kakata, Margibi County – As part of it on going efforts to strengthen the protection and
empowerment of young women and girls across Liberia, the successfully hosted a one-day
Back-to-School Training Workshop focused on Safeguarding Kathy Justice Girls Educational
Foundation (KJGEF) Liberia and Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) Awareness.
The training aimed to promote a safe and inclusive learning environment for girls as they
prepare to return to school, while raising awareness about the dangers of SGBV and the
importance of safeguarding practices in schools and communities.
Delivering her keynote address online, Miss Justice, Founder and Chief Sponsor of KJGEF
Liberia, reaffirmed the foundation’s unwavering commitment to advancing education,
empowerment, and protection for women and girls throughout Liberia.
In her message, Miss Justice encouraged participants to embrace love, avoid envy, and pursue
their dreams with determination. She further emphasized the importance of maintaining a
strong relationship with God, seeking mentorship, making positive life decisions, and
appreciating every opportunity to create meaningful impact within their communities and
beyond.




Miss Justice expressed deep concern over the increasing cases of sexual and gender-based
violence, teenage pregnancy, and abuse affecting young women and girls in schools and
communities across the country. She stressed the urgent need for collective action to address
these challenges and ensure that schools remain safe spaces for learning and growth.
In closing, Miss Justice extended heartfelt appreciation to all volunteers, senior team
leaders, board members, and stakeholders for their dedication and contributions toward
the success of the program. She also called for stronger partnerships among schools, local
organizations, and international partners to sustain ongoing awareness initiatives and further
empower young women and girls across Liberia.
The Kathy Justice Girls Educational Foundation (KJGEF) Liberia is a non-profit
organization dedicated to promoting girls’ education, empowerment, and protection from all
forms of abuse. Through training workshops, christian leadership training mentorship
programs, and community awareness campaigns, KJGEF continues to advocate for gender
equality and strives to keep reducing the rate of gender-based violence while creating equal
educational opportunities for all women and girls across Liberia.
