Relationship and Sex Education (RSE) workshop

Relationship and Sex Education (RSE) workshop organized by the Kathy Justice Girls Educational Foundation aims to empower girls with essential knowledge, skills, and resources to make informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health. This interactive workshop brought together 30 young potential girls from two different high schools In Montserrado. The workshop provides a safe and supportive space for girls to learn about Topics such as Sexual consent, Menstrues circle, Healthy relationship, and Sexual transmitted infections (STI).

Through engaging activities, discussions, and peer- peer learning, the RSE workshop equips girls with confidence and resilience to navigate complex social and cultural dynamics surrounding sexuality and relationships. The facilitators use culturally sensitive approaches to address cultural myths and misconceptions, fostering open and honest dialogue about sensitive topics.

The workshop also emphasized the importance of self-respect, self-esteem, and boundary-setting, empowering girls to assert their rights, advocate for their health, and establish healthy relationships based on mutual respect and communication. The students learn practical skills for assertive communication, decision-making, and seeking support from trusted adults or health care providers.

By providing these education on RSE and other related training will tailored to the needs of girls in Liberia, The Kathy Justice Girls Educational Foundation promotes Sexual and reproductive health literacy, gender equality, and social empowerment. We believe through these workshops, girls gain the knowledge, confidence, and agency to make informed choices about their bodies, relationships, and futures, ultimately contributing to their overall well-being and resilience in the face of social and health challenges.

Drug Abuse And Sexual Abuse Workshop.
May 2, 2024

The Kathy Justice Girls Educational Foundation recently concluded another transformative workshop addressing the critical issues of drug abuse and sexual abuse. With a steadfast commitment to empowering young girls with knowledge and resilience, the foundation organized this event to equip girls with the tools necessary to navigate these complex challenges.

Throughout the workshop, Our Country Director Mr. Enoch Nuah and Mrs. Carolyn Saydee Our Scholarship Directress engaged students in candid discussions, providing invaluable insights into the realities of drug abuse and sexual abuse. Through interactive sessions, students gained a deeper understanding of the warning signs, consequences, and resources available to combat these issues.

In addition to education and awareness, the workshop emphasized the importance of prevention and intervention strategies. Students learned practical skills for recognizing and resisting peer pressure, as well as how to access support services and seek help when needed.

As the workshop drew to a close, our students left with a renewed sense of empowerment and determination to advocate for themselves and others.

The Kathy Justice Girls Educational Foundation remains committed to supporting these young girls on their journey towards a brighter, safer future, free from drug abuse and sexual abuse.
